 hmmmm I don't know... but I think I might try it out!!!!

I know that summer is on it's way out.. but I got a little bored with my dark locks.... so I decided to spice it up a bit!!! Don't know how long it will last, but it's been fun so far!!! p.s. i love you charles!!!

TEXAS!!!!

This past Saturday, Debra and Larry (in-laws) made their way to Lubbock to go see the play TEXAS!!!!! It wasn't actually in Lubbock though... it was in Palo Duro Canyon, in Canyon, Texas (about 20 minutes south of Amarillo). And oh my goodness it was beautiful!!!!! The play was located deep in the heart of the canyon and the scenery was amazing!!!! The backdrop was literally the canyon  with all the trees and even a couple deer here and there!!! Derryck and I were so surprised at how well the play came together!!! If you haven't heard of it, it was about west texas and the railroads coming in and taking over the land that was Indian territory and 2 different families working together... And you put a horse in the mix, I'm always game!! And to top it off, there was a fireworks show at the end! It really was great play and worth the drive to go see it. It was longer than we thought, so next time, we will probably get a hotel or camp out at the park...

And thank goodness we made it home safe... While we were driving on the fwy going south back to lubbock at about 1 am, another car... also in the southbound lane was driving north!!!!!!!!!!!!! talk about scary!!!!!!! We swerved to the right and started honking at this crazy (probably drunk) person who was going at least 80 the wrong way.... we quickly called 911 and not even 10 seconds later we saw a cop car.... hopefully no one got hurt.... and thanks to my wonderful husby and the good man upstairs that we made it home safely!! love you baby!

I heart... ummmm......

Derryck and I ventured to the mall last night for some new shoes, which Derryck needed badly.... We went into some skater shop, and found these.... It definitely deserves a good laugh..... HAHAHA!!!

Thank goodness Derryck didn't care to buy the shirt........

I know that I have been missing in action when it comes to blogging..... and I am deeply saddened by the news my mom told me when I got home from work today. Our sweet Grandma Gloria is with our dear Lord in Heaven. She is my Uncle Pat's mother and was always Grandma Gloria to everyone... no matter family or friends!! She truly was an AMAZING woman! She was the very first person to walk up to Derryck and I at our wedding reception to congratulate us.... I know that she is in a much better place now with no more suffering. She will be missed dearly! Thoughts and prayers to the Hagerty family!!! We love you Grandma Gloria!

You can never have too many diamonds.....

Spoiled Rotten is really what I should be using as a title.... so in one of my previous posts, I wrote about my amazing husby surprising me with another diamond band to match my wedding band... And it was worth the wait!!!  My goodness he spoils me!! I guess I'm just an amazing wifey... haha!!!!! So I'm keepin this short and sweet ( bc the pics speak for themselves )...  A woman can never have too many diamonds!! 

Now that's A LOT of bling bling.......

Just Two Letters..... RN

Lookie........ lookie...... Look who FINALLY took their nursing boards, AND PASSED........ and is a REGISTERED NURSE!!!!!!!!!!!! Just what I have been waiting for!!!!!!! The past 2 years of full blown chaos of nursing school ALL came down to a measly 75 questions!!!!!!! And that was the WORST 75 questions of my entire life!!!!!! But I have to say, I was praying my little heart out when I reached 75 in hopes that the computer would shut off!!!! ( 75 is the minimum and 265 is the max.... and whether you pass or fail, the computer knows.... and will just shut off!!!!! ) Sooooo when I reached 75 ( which took me 2 hours by the way) I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and hit the mouse for the next page...... and VOILA!!!!!!!!!! The computer shut off........ and I JUST ABOUT DIED!!!!!!!!  In my head I seriously thought I failed, and apparently that's how everyone feels!!!!! So over the next 2 days at worked I was panicked!!!!! I opted to pay $8 to find out and I had the biggest smile when I saw that one four letter word........ PASS!!!!

Geesh, I have NEVER worked so dang hard before just for a 2 letter word!!!!! 

But it sure does look pretty!!! And it was worth every heartache!!

p.s. I am exactly where God wants me to be..... taking care of little 2 lb babies!!!

Pickles and Ice Cream

A couple of weeks ago, we threw a Pickles and Ice Cream Diaper shower for our friends Jeremy and Sarah! They are expecting their first baby this August!!! and it's a BOY!!!!!!! But they will NOT tell anyone the name and it's been driving me crazy!!!!! And apparently, it's the NEW thing to not even find out the sex of your baby ( which makes me even crazier!!!!)  I know that is how it worked back in the day, but why not use our wonderful technology that the good Lord has given us!!!! I. JUST. CAN'T. HANDLE. THE. WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  But at least Sarah opted to find out the sex of their baby, which makes throwing a shower much easier!!! I came up with the theme of the shower too!!!! I figured it was very fitting even for most women who are pregnant!! And it was a total hit!!!!

and yes, I made that diaper cake!!!!!! a lot of diapers.... a lot of rubber bands!!

And yes..... made this one too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
