80's Flashback

 Last night Derryck and I planned on attending Chanda's 30th Birthday party. It had been planned for some time now for it to be 80's themed and at a roller skating rink, so we I was pumped!!!! It took me a while to figure out what to wear, since I was born in the middle of the 80's and didn't get the wonderful experience of legwarmers, neon colors, spandex and big poofy hair. So I had been planning my outfit for the past couple weeks. My husby however, not so thrilled about this party. All he could think about was how awful the parachute pants were back then! So I kid you not, we were 15 minutes out til the party and he wanted to go get an outfit! I have to say, the lady at Academy sure did know her way around the ladies department looking for something 80's themed that would fit Derryck! haha! And Derryck did not want to dress up in something that might be mistaken for my clothes .... but some liquid courage came in quite handy!!! hehe!!! It truly was a memorable party!! Everyone looked great! The cake was themed just perfectly and there was even a limbo contest on skates!! It will be a party that is definitely hard to top!! let the building begin!!!!!!!!!!!

The building of our house has begun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am absolutely overflowing with joy and excitement!!! For those of you who don't know.... we sold our house and moved out in April... and yes, it has taken until October to begin this building process!! I was definitely getting very anxious and ready to just be in our house already. I know that we still have a looooooooong road ahead of us, but I am just so excited that we finally started!!!!!!!!! We still have to pick out all the stuff inside, but as for the final approved plans of the house, it is all done!!! Now, if the weather will just cooperate!!!!!!!!!!! They started digging on Wednesday, and planned to do the plumbing on Monday..... and then of course, we had a torrential down pour of rain on Thursday. So we are probably set back now at least a week for everything to dry up....boooo!!!!! But Derryck and I are still so excited, even with the rain!! So I just had to take some pics of what they've done so far!

weekend at gigi's

This past weekend, we made a road trip to Houston for a wedding! We decided to drive partly due to the dogs and I knew that they would have a blast at Gigi's. The wedding was great and of course we had to make a stop on Sunday to Grandma's house for some gold star pasta!!!

I have an appointment scheduled at the end of next week, so pics to come!!!! It will be quite a shocker going from this blonde to super dark... oooo but I'm ready!!! fall season here I come!!
